How far ahead do I need to book my wedding cake?
It is best if the following items are decided on before you come to see us:
Venue, wedding colors/ theme, wedding dress, brides maid’s dresses, flowers and flower colors.
We are next.

How do I sample your cakes and pick a design?
We do your cake consultation / cake tastings by appointment. At that time we go over your ideas for cake design and cake flavor. Please feel free to bring in any pictures you have seen that you like, we also have plenty of examples of our work and what we have done in the past.
We do most of our consultations on Tuesdays, we start at 7:00am and our last appointment is at 5:00pm. We can make exceptions for couples with tight schedules, however, our availability will be constricted by how busy we are. Weekend appointments are the most difficult.

How much do your cakes cost?
Our wedding cakes start at $5.50 per person. You can download our wedding cake brochure for all the pricing information, its on our Wedding Cake Page.

Can I do a small tiered wedding cake and supplement with sheet cakes? or Can I just do a two tier cake?
If you are looking to save some money by doing a two tier cake, we would be happy to help you out. We can do a two tier cake for you to pick up, or a two tier cake with sheet cakes for you to pick up as well. We will not deliver a 2 tier cake.

What is the delivery fee for your wedding cakes?
There is no extra delivery charge for wedding cakes that are within the Twin Cities area. Any reception outside the Twin Cities area will be subject to an extra delivery charge. Our delivery boundaries are 694 to the north, 494 to the south, 35E to the east, and the city of Buffalo to the west.

Do you do Groom’s Cakes?
Absolutely! Give us your ideas or we can brainstorm with your for the perfect cake.

What if I don’t want a ‘traditional’ wedding cake, what are my other options?
Besides wedding cake you can do Cupcakes, Centerpiece Cakes, Dessert Buffets, Pies, we are here to provide the perfect dessert for you.

How do I reserve my wedding date with you?
Once you have had your consultation, we will give you a copy of our contract, we need a signed copy of that contract returned with a non-refundable $100 deposit. Once we have that, your wedding date is reserved.

What frostings do you use?
The main type of frosting we use is buttercream because not only does it look wonderful, it also tastes amazing! Couples also have the option of using fondant icing, chocolate buttercream, chocolate ganache and cream cheese icing.

Do you freeze your cakes?
No. Each cake is custom made.

Do you offer cake stand/ plateau rental?
We have a wide variety of cake stands from rustic to formal, from wood to silver. We have stands for wedding cakes, cupcakes, and centerpiece cakes. Rentals start at $10 and up. All rentals must be returned to our store within 3 business days. We keep a credit card on file to secure a rental order and to ensure that they will be returned to us clean and in original condition.  .

Can I do a fake cake?
Fake cakes or fake tiers are made of styrofoam and are decorated just like a wedding cake. The fake tiers are priced at $3/ slice, based on the number of servings the tier would have had.

Do you do cakes for people with nut, milk, or gluten allergies?
Nut Allergies- While many of our products do not contain nuts, all of our baked goods are made on the premises in the same kitchen, and so may have been in contact with nuts.
We do offer gluten-free cakes in vanilla or chocolate.

Can I keep the top tier of my cake?
Absolutely! We will bring a box for your top tier and it will have printed freezing instructions on the top.

How do I freeze any leftover cake?
You can only freeze a cake frosted in buttercream icing. Do not freeze a cake with fondant icing.
To freeze your cake:
Place your cake in the freezer without any wrappings for 8 hours.
Remove cake from freezer and wrap with 2 layers of plastic wrap and a layer of heavy duty foil.
Place your cake back in the freezer.
1 year later- defrost and enjoy!

Do I need to pay for my wedding cake ahead of time?
We will call you for your final guest count 10 days before your wedding. At that time, we will figure out your final cost, and final payment is due 5 days before the wedding.
